Limit Screen Time for Children

Limit Screen Time for Children

Protect kids from junk food marketing disguised as entertainment.

What’s Broken

Children are the most targeted generation in history. Food marketing is one of the biggest drivers of childhood obesity.

The Fix

Set strict screen time limits, choose ad-free platforms, and teach media literacy.

How to Take Action

  1. Under age 2: zero screen time
  2. Ages 2-5: limit to 1 hour/day of ad-free programming
  3. Use PBS or Netflix which limit junk food ads
  4. Co-watch and discuss manipulative marketing
